Illustration Friday– Slither

When Grayson was a baby, I painted his name on a toy box.  When Asher was a baby, I bought a toy box, with every intention of painting his name on it.

Asher just turned nine.

Poor Ash.

The First Day of the Rest of Your Life

I had an interesting little job recently.  A client of my husband’s asked me to illustrate her wedding guests as party favors.  (Lucky for me, it was a relatively small wedding– only 40!)

The directions were pretty minimal, such as, “so-and-so has black hair and is very elegant, so-and-so is a triathlete with a prosthetic leg”.  Well, I agonized (because I always do) but in the end the bride loved them!  I hope the guests liked them– I’ll never really know if any of them resembled anyone, since the wedding was in Texas.

I think the wedding was today.  I wonder how many of these will be on the floor of the car tomorrow! 🙂

Out of all of them, this one was my favorite, she wanted a portrait of her wedding dress.
