Every time she wore her favorite hat, Louise inexplicably felt like she was experiencing her senior prom all over again…

Hah heh. Well between you and Jack I look 45 years older (I now look 32) because of the laugh lines. I just love the beeline hair.
Now I just sent you an email. Let me know if you don’t get it pretty please!
see you
sorry I have been so quiet
You have been given the stylish blogger award! To play along see my post and take the badge to right! Congrats!!!
THat’s very nice, Krista!
Krista,
I have an award for you over at my blog
http://www.rosehilldesigns.blogspot.com/
you are an inspriration to me. Your work is so happy and your blog is always such a pleasure to visit! xxoo
Great illustration and funny!
hahah! Excellent work Krista!!!
And what a prom it must have been! Who needs a fountain of youth when you’ve got a hat like that? ๐
wonderful illustration! that’s some hat!
Hahahahaha! Groovy, sistah! I love her hat. And strange as it may sound, I also love her elbows. Whenever I see a beehive, I think B-52s!
So cute!!!
This is just TOO cute! i love her expression! ๐
this is so happy and fun, i love the colors and clean lines, and a great take on the word – so true how an object can take you back in time!
Excellent, fun and oh so clever, he he he! I love her earrings! xxoo
Hey Krista! I like the combination Granny/hippie look! Great character. Did Louise ever get married?… or did the bees keep away prospective suitors? It took Bobby Goldsboro six years, but in 1968 he recorded his tribute to Louise and her hat……”Honey” (I miss you) :o) I was going to repost my last week’s Illustration Friday “resolutions” and rename it Deja Vu and give everyone a deja vu experience… but that would have been to easy :o)
This is so much fun!!! And wonderfully done.
What fun! Do you think they’ll be selling these at Macy’s? Hee hee! :o)
Awesome Krista, love the bee hive ๐
Oh my goodness. This is so cute! I hope the bees are not real. Happy New Year to you.
Great character! Makes me think Louise likes to sit in a sun-warmed kitchen full of Crate and Barrel, green tea (with honey, of course), thinking of yesteryear. Excellent illustration!
so cute. love this.
