You might think this is a birthday card, but, in fact, it is a diagram of muddy treats:
A. Mississippi Mud Pie
B. Muddy River ( iced coffee made with brandy and cream!)
C. Muddy Coffee (aka: Cowboy Coffee or Army Coffee– don’t drink all the way to the bottom–blech)
Ooops! I forgot a Mudslide! 🙂
Beautiful transparent colors!
Beautiful illustrations! (Would make a lovely fabric too. If interested, you should check out Spoonflower.com). Thanks for your comment on my IF entry as well.

Ooh…Krista! What a wondeful composition..and such a great concept for muddy…I must try one of those Muddy Rivers…as that sounds a bit decadent and delicious right now. I am a coffee AND of course, TEA girl, so this piece just warms my heart…I love chocolate and warm drinks. I agree with Karen above..your watercolor wash is awesome!
And yes, I just wanted to say that I do paint pretty tinily. Is that a word? The little face I painted is 1/2″ high..I paint small often..do you?
Have a wonderful rest of this weekend!!
These are really cute! I love your colors.
…I could use a mudslide right about now 🙂 but since I’m at work, I guess that’s a no-go!

These two are wonderful works. Very sweet and a lot of energy. I have to work hard when it comes to movement. Really good.
See, this is what is so great about illustration friday. To see everyone’s take on the topic is always so much fun. I would have never thought of associating food with mud. Nicely done!
