I am smitten by your art and yes, it has been the definitive call to pull me into my Bible. I have been following a couple of different blogs, but yours was the art that stole my heart. I honestly believe I was called here……or the bread crumbs led me here. Wow!
One question about the embroidery….okay, maybe two. I have an embroidery machine and know OESD well. Do they sell just the font or is it a package? Do you pencil out your drawing before putting it to page? I know someone else who does that.
I am headed right back to Amazon to order my Bible. God’s Peace Krista. You are blessed!
Thank you for your kind words, Donna! God is doing a great thing with Bible Journaling, drawing people back to His Word. I’m tickled that you like my work! 🙂
Yes, I always do a pencil drawing first, sometimes right in my Bible and sometimes I sketch it out and either trace or transfer it with graphite paper onto the page. Sometimes I’ll use a drawing or painting that I did long ago, but works with a particular scripture.
Have fun with your new Bible! You will love Bible journaling! Have you joined Journaling Bible Community on Facebook? It’s a great group. You can either request to join or I can add you. Just let me know. ~Krista
Hi Krista, I received my journaling bible today and am literally tingling with anxious anticipation. Do you know if there is a journaling blog that shares what they are studying? This new beginning is a joyful opportunity to return to who I was created to be.
Could I ask where you found yours? I really want to start, but so far haven’t found one that isn’t lined, or doesn’t have really fine pages, even when I search specifically for a journalling one.
It does have very faint lines that are helpful for lining up the type. Also the pages are pretty thin, but I don’t have any trouble with that– I am only using pens and colored pencils. Enjoy!
Your “Bible Journaling” feeds my soul. You should consider having your Bible published after you have completed it. Or at least having a book or two of the Bible published. Your work is so inspiring. I am purchasing journaling Bibles for two granddaughters Christmas gifts.
I have completed the three alphabets that have been digitized by OESD. Thanks for doing that and keep me informed if they are digitizing more of you alphabets or other works.

How do I find out about your alphabets that are digitized…. And how do I use them? Obviously I’, not super tech savy but do have an adult daughter to help

The collections I have with OESD are illustrated pieces, with the lettering incorporated into them. I do have a Christmas Alphabet that is made up of individual letters, all dressed up for Christmas. http://embroideryonline.com/p-57502-illuminated-christmas-by-krista-hamrick.aspx

Hi Judi! The alphabets that Jane refers to are available as software for home embroidery machines. They are available here: http://embroideryonline.com/search.aspx?SearchTerm=krista%20hamrick Thanks for asking!
